The role also involves operating industrial forklifts safely and efficiently, performing manual material handling, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, climbing ladders, and working in physically demanding outdoor conditions for 8-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic inspections and maintenance of equipment as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, estimate repair costs, and order supplies as required.
- Operate industrial forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Perform manual material handling tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Climb ladders and work in physically demanding outdoor conditions for 8-hour shifts.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in material handling, warehouse, or yard operations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of diesel equipment maintenance and electrical equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to perform repairs to flatbed trailers, brakes, airlines, etc.
- Experience operating industrial forklifts (certification a plus).
- Welding experience is required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in varying outdoor conditions.
