General Summary:
Responsible for the evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of hospital information systems.
Essential Functions:
· Develop and maintain interfaces between healthcare systems (e.g., EHR, LIS, RIS, PACS).
· Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.
· Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to gather requirements and design interface solutions.
· Monitor and troubleshoot interface issues, providing timely resolutions.
· Perform interface testing and validation to ensure accurate data exchange.
· Document interface specifications, workflows, and procedures.
· Stay updated with industry standards and best practices in healthcare interoperability (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
· Provide training and support to end-users on interface-related issues.
· Proficiency in interface engines (e.g., OpenLink, Mirth, CorePoint, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody).
· Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CCL, DICOM).
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
