General Summary:
To provide clerical and service support to the surgical areas.
Essential Functions:
- Restock and replenish supplies, linen and assist with stock rotation and outdating as directed.
- Assists with terminal cleaning and disinfection of equipment and surgery procedure rooms daily, including floor care and the applicable use of an auto-scrubber.
- Performs scheduled cycle cleaning in the department including high dusting, wall cleaning, and cleaning of vertical surfaces. Properly documents all activities performed.
- Collects and transports general trash at designated times; soiled linen and regulated medical waste throughout the facility as needed.
- Cleaning and polishing of sinks, toilets, showers, and plumbing in common areas and restrooms.
- Accurately records temperatures for refrigerators and blanket warmers daily.
- Safely transports patients within the surgical suite and other areas in the facility as instructed.
- Performs daily monitoring and weekly cleaning for the sterilizers in the OR.
- Inspects and reports any problems or issues with transport carts or other equipment, uses the TAG system and reports issues to maintenance as needed.
