Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar Manager to join our team. This role is essential in helping develop and run a brand new bar program for our establishment. You are able to develop systems of operation, handle guests in a professional and friendly manner, and manage staff on a day to day basis.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house and bar operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Train, mentor, and manage all Bar staff including bartenders, service bartenders, and barbacks.
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems, including Toast, and Square POS.
- Assist in drink preparation as needed and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Chefs to ensure timely service and quality ingredients are ordered for the bar.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
- Implement strategies to improve service efficiency and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Create a specialty cocktail list and develop the bar program for the house. This includes cocktail creation and costing.
- Know how to reorganize and develop bar locations to work efficiently and effectively for the business.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 3 years bartending experience with cocktail creation.
- Previous experience in a management role within the food industry or hospitality management is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems, particularly Toast and Square POS.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Experience in food preparation or cooking is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
