Purchasing Lead
Fisher’s is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Lead to oversee procurement operations in the copier/printer industry. The ideal candidate will manage purchasing activities, coordinate with vendors, and ensure optimal inventory levels to support business needs. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the Purchasing team for Parts & Supplies, acting as a key resource for workload management and customer escalations.
• Deliver an exceptional customer service experience, both internally and externally, by providing timely and professional assistance.
• Serve as a point of contact for escalations, helping to resolve supply order issues when team members are unable to assist.
• Take ownership of direct interactions with customers, vendors, and Fisher’s personnel to ensure seamless communication and problem resolution.
• Accurately and efficiently process supply/parts sales quotes, orders, purchase orders, and claims for returns.
• Oversee and facilitate inventory transfers between Fisher’s locations to meet operational needs.
• Assist with inventory control, including auditing and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Manage the purchasing of a variety of products from multiple suppliers for delivery to customer locations and Fisher’s distribution centers across Idaho, Montana, Washington, and Utah.
• Maintain accurate, valid, and complete information in databases and pricing/item management systems.
• Proactively identify and escalate potential issues, ensuring they are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Coordinate the timely and efficient delivery of customer orders, ensuring proper allocation of inventory.
• Train team members on standardized processes and serve as the designated trainer for onboarding and procedural updates.
• Provide backup support for the team as needed, for both parts and supplies reps.
• Effectively utilize company tools and follow documented procedures to ensure consistent and exceptional performance.
• Lead database management projects, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapting to frequently changing priorities.
• Comfortable working with incomplete information to complete a task.
• Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to mentor team members.
• Familiarity with ERP or similar industry-specific software.
