Part-Time After School Music Teacher/ Van Driver (15 passenger van)
Fishers of Men Bible and Music Centers is looking for Part-Time School Music Teachers to support our after-school program serving the students of Jones County, K-6th grades. We are seeking out-going, motivated, and fun teachers to join our team.
We want someone who can drive a 15 passenger van to pickup kids from school and also be available to teach music. A CDL license is NOT required to drive van. Must have clean driving record, be dependable and be able to pass a drug test.
We are hiring music teachers for Piano, Drums, and Guitar, Ukulele- and General Music. If you have experience with any of these instruments and can drive the van please apply.

Minimum Qualifications
· Acceptable background check for childcare licensure in the state of Mississippi
· Acceptable immunization record (121 Form) for working in an early childhood education setting

· Teach music lessons to a diverse population of students, K-6th Grades
· Lead small group music classes
· Seek out and Demonstrate VBS Songs for daily lessons
· Ability to effectively supervise students in a variety of settings, including indoor classrooms, outdoor learning environments, and field trips in a variety of weather conditions
MUST HAVE Valid Drivers License and Clean Driving Record
Preferred Qualifications
· The ability to obtain appropriate CPR and First Aid Certification
· Music and/or Education degree and classroom experience preferred.
Responsibilities
· Create individual goals for each student according to their age and skill levels Develop long-term music education plans for students
· Works to develop the whole child through developmentally appropriate activities that focus on music
· Guides, directs, and supervises children in developmentally appropriate activities-indoor and outdoor learning/play time, homework time, reading, rest time, snack/mealtime
· Participates in professional development activities such as workshops, conferences, in-service training, and parent meetings
· Completes all required written reports in a timely manner-time, including daily meal counts, children's attendance, etc.
· Reports to the Director-Child Development Center any cases of suspected abuse and needs for referral for various types of service for the children
· Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing, etc.) to enhance the child’s abilities
· Must excel at taking shared responsibility for creating and maintaining an orderly, safe, and appropriately challenging learning environment for children
· Provides and maintains a clean organized environment for the students to learn.
· Light cleaning at the end of each shift including sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning classroom and other shared common areas.
· Performs other duties as assigned
Part-Time Hours: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm shifts available Monday through Friday after school. (Flexible Schedules) The position may include additional hours depending on employee availability and facility needs.
