Our office is searching for a candidate for the position of urgent care nurse practitioner. Responsibilities for urgent care nurse practitioner
- The NP will provide occupational health services in this setting including but not limited to suturing, advising on managing broken bones; prescriptions as needed
- The NP will perform privileged procedures as directed (e.g I and D and stitching)
- Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical charts
- After consultation with the Medical Director, oversees patient issues and concerns which may include but are not limited to patient medical care
- Provides and manages direct patient care, including assessments, physical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses and treatment
- Prescribes medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions
- Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care options as appropriate
- Communicates with patients regarding test results and appropriate clinical information as needed
Qualifications for urgent care nurse practitioner
- Unrestricted NP License
- At least 1-2 years of experience as NP
- Must have demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
- Must possess skills in providing services for community outreach, including community education
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
Supplemental schedule:
- Some Holidays
Weekly schedule:
- Rotating weekends
- Additional Weekend days, as needed
- Opportunity for weekday coverage, as needed
