SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Behavioral Health Practice Manager serves as a management team member and provides leadership, direction and oversight to the Behavioral Health practice. The position is responsible for the overall business operations, strategy and success of our integrated behavioral health practice. The Practice Manager works with all clinical staff to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and oversees all administrative, allied health and operations staff to ensure effective, efficient, and compliant practice operations. In this important role, the successful applicant will act as an information resource and ambassador to patients, the public, Clinical staff, and administrative staff.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provides leadership in developing, planning, and implementing the organizations business plans as related to the Behavioral Health business and operations.
· Oversight of all practice operations, including recommending, developing, and implementing processes. This includes, but not limited to ensuring the office and practice is opened and closed daily, as per established schedules, management of registration and front desk operations, general patient flow, procurement management, supply inventory, and general staff productivity.
· Informs senior management about current trends, problems, and medical activities to facilitate policy making.
· Identifies, reviews, evaluates, updates, and implements related policies and procedures in compliance with related standards and regulations in collaboration with the Operations team.
· Interviews, hires, and coordinates training of new staff in accordance with HR and agency guidelines, including participating in clinical practitioner recruitment, training, and onboarding.
· Participates and oversees the frontline business and financial affairs of the clinic and fiscal management with the finance department.
· Ongoing oversight and review of billing and collection processes, accounts payable on collaboration with the Billing and Revenue cycle and financial departments.
· Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment without jeopardizing important innovation or quality of care.
· Continually monitors operations, programs, and physical property. Initiates appropriate changes.
· Encourages community education through participation in health fairs and events to promote awareness. Responsible for managing the overall marketing activities of the practice.
· Represents the practice in its relationships with other health organizations, government agencies, and community partnerships.
· Participates, oversees and manages all practice partnerships, including contractual agreements with medical providers or other clinical professionals.
· Serves as liaison and channel of communication between the hospitals, health plans, insurances and regulatory bodies.
· Resolves any clinical-administrative conflicts and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and a professional, healthy practice.
· Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep current in the latest health care trends and developments.
· Other Duties as Assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
· Associate’s degree AND/OR 7 years of Related Behavioral Health Experience (Required)
· Bachelor’s degree, Behavioral Health, healthcare, or related field (Preferred)
Experience
· 3 years’ Supervisory experience (Required)
Qualifications:
· Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
· Display strong organizational, team building, decision making and problem solving skilles
· Coordinating medical front office operations
· Must have demonstrated a leadership position within the healthcare industry
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
