Job Summary
Cashier Associates are responsible for greeting customers and providing great customer service while accurately and efficiently operating a cash register. Other responsibilities include but not limited to, answering phones and paging for assistance, assisting in other areas or departments of the store as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet customers when entering or leaving store
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
- Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Perform basic math functions to collect payments and make change
- Operate registers, scanners, scales and credit card/debit card terminals
- Memorize product locations throughout the store and be able to direct customers or make suggestions
- Handle exchanges and refunds in a quick, efficient manner
- Collect payments and bag purchases for customers
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be able to work a rotation of weekends
