Fisk University (www.fisk.edu) invites applications for an assistant professor in chemistry, tenure track, with demonstrated potential for excellence in student-centered undergraduate teaching (general chemistry or organic chemistry, and upper division courses), and for developing a research program (open area) capable of attracting external funding and publishing peer-reviewed papers with undergraduate co-authors. The faculty member also will serve as a mentor in the Fisk-Vanderbilt Master’s to PhD Bridge Program and, depending on their research interest, the Fisk-UIUC Master's to PhD Bridge in Quantitative Biology. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related discipline is required, and postdoctoral training is optimal. Applications are being considered immediately; the position is available as early as June 2022. Fisk University: Fisk University is a private historically black university in Nashville, Tennessee. The university was founded in 1866 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1930, Fisk was the first historically Black institution to gain accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in Chemistry or a closely related discipline.
