Primary Responsibilities :
In this role, you will :
Efficiently Handle Transactions : Receive and process checking and savings deposits, ensuring accuracy and issuing proper receipts.
Regulatory Compliance : Examine deposited checks, determining fund availability in line with regulations, and completing necessary Hold Notices.
Customer Assistance : Respond to customer inquiries about interest rates, service charges, and account histories while maintaining compliance with regulations and privacy policies.
Cross-Selling : Identify opportunities to cross-sell our bank products and services, enhancing the customer's banking experience.
Problem Resolution : Effectively address customer issues, referring complex matters to the appropriate departments when necessary.
Currency Management : Handle currency transactions, including buying and selling from the vault while adhering to cash limits.
Daily Balancing : Ensure your teller station is well-stocked and balanced at the end of each day.
Qualifications :
To thrive in this role, you should bring :
Teller Experience : A minimum of one to two years of experience in a Teller role within a financial institution (heavy cash handling experience is also acceptable).
Education : A High School diploma or GED
