Credit Union Member Services Representative
Position Purpose : Serve as a liaison between members and the credit union. Provide account information by phone or in person and offer information on the full range of credit union products and services. Open accounts for members, solve member issues, and professionally handle daily member needs. Ensure all member information is maintained securely. Interact with the public in a detail-oriented, service-oriented, and friendly manner.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing transactions.
Respond to member requests, concerns, and questions via email, phone calls, walk-ins, member relationship software, call center tickets, etc., in a professional and timely manner.
Assist members with plastic card-related issues, including mailing cards if necessary.
Open new accounts and service existing accounts. Set up new account files and provide members with all necessary membership information.
Promote credit union products and services based on members' needs.
Perform account maintenance on member accounts with proper documentation / authorization.
Act as a backup to the Teller Line.
Promote and explain other credit union services as needed.
Answer telephones and provide members with requested information.
Ensure the propriety and confidentiality of members’ information.
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, rules, and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience :
Minimum 2 years of customer service experience with a financial institution required.
