We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Human Resources Specialist to support our credit union's HR functions and contribute to a thriving work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
HR Administration : Take charge of routine HR tasks, including compensation, benefits, leave administration, and performance management. Ensure all HR processes run smoothly and efficiently, including the timely processing of bi-weekly payroll.
Recruitment & Hiring : Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating with hiring managers, managing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and facilitating interviews to bring in top talent.
Onboarding & Employee Engagement : Implement and lead new hire orientation programs, ensuring a warm and professional welcome for all new employees. Develop and execute employee recognition programs to maintain a motivated and productive workforce.
Records Management : Maintain accurate employee personnel records in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Keep both electronic and paper files organized and up-to-date.
Compliance & Best Practices : Stay ahead of the curve by maintaining knowledge of HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes. Ensure that all HR activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Employee Support : Be a reliable point of contact for employees, providing assistance with benefits, HR-related inquiries, and employee relations matters. Handle sensitive issues with discretion and tact.
What We’re Looking For :
Experience : 2-5 years of experience in HR or a related field. You’ve been in the trenches and know what it takes to manage day-to-day HR operations.
Education : A bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR certifications.
Interpersonal Skills : You excel in communication, conflict resolution, and relationship building. You handle confidential information with the utmost care and professionalism.
Knowledge : You’re well-versed in federal and state employment laws and have a strong understanding of HR best practices.
