What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Coordinator position at Fit For Life 1?
Position: Hourly
Status: Full-Time/Part Time-Non-Exempt
Reports to: Field Supervisor
DIRECT CARE STAFF:
The direct staff must have at least one year of experience providing direct care services to the developmentally disabled population and must be familiar with the Regional Center process. Staff must have a basis understanding of physical fitness techniques, proper nutrition and the safe use of exercise equipment. Must also have a valid California driver's license, meet driver policy requirements, proof of insurance, proof of right to work in the U.S., First Aid certification and CPR, and fingerprint clearance.
Duties and Responsibilites
- Will complete health and fitness orientation within 30-days of hire
- Will provide direct care services to program participants as instructed by the field supervisor and exercise trainer
- Will encourage individual's participation in community workout activities
- Will implement goals and objectives as recommended by the program medical consultants & Trainers, and as indicated in the participant's IPP & Training Assessment
- Will interact with consumer's family members, regional Center and all other involved parties
- Will dress comfortably and appropriately (e.g. tennis shoes, sweat pants etc), so as to properly assist residents with exercise activity participation
- Covid-19 Clearance (negative results) required
- Will perform other duties as assigned

Pay: $22.00 - $23.95 per hour
