What are the responsibilities and job description for the F45 Head Trainer position at FIT - Functional Inspired Training?
F45 is looking for an energetic Head Trainer to deliver an incredible workout experience as well as support and lead the F45 Coaching team at its flagship studio in Austin, Texas. The F45 Head Trainer is a key member of the studio team and will report directly to the Socolab General Manager. They will provide world class in-studio experiences and provide athletics programming feedback through the test studio process of Socolab. This is an amazing opportunity to work at the HQ-owned Studio in Austin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-time role requiring early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on studio needs.
- Support and assist with daily operations and growth for F45 studio.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and brand guidelines.
- Deliver HIIT, Strength, Cardio, and Hybrid group classes, maintaining an average of 20 classes per week, including weekends.
- Ensure proper and safe use of all training equipment, including dumbbells, ERGs, kettlebells, and weight racks.
- Conduct pre-class visual inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain studio cleanliness and organization, ensuring equipment is returned to its designated space per management standards.
- Stay current with and implement FS8 Brand and Athletics standards at all times.
- Assist with filling class schedules by coordinating instructor availability and ensuring schedule consistency.
- Execute sales and trial-to-member conversion processes to enhance the studio experience.
- Actively participate in networking and community events to generate business and promote the brand.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, demonstrating company values and professionalism in all interactions.
- Collect and provide feedback from the coaching team through the Socolab test studio process, collaborating with the Athletics Department to trial new programming experiences.
- Work with trainers and management to ensure a seamless and high-quality member experience.
- Adapt to evolving sales processes and studio pricing updates as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned to support studio operations and growth.
- Minimum education to include; Personal Training Certification.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience teaching 6 or more participants in an apparatus-based group class
- Demonstrate group reformer instruction abilities
- Professional and effective communication skills
- In-depth understanding of the benefits of Pilates, Tone, and Yoga.
- Willingness to evolve with the new developments in the fitness industry
- Comfortable adding Yoga, Trigger Point and Foam Roller to teaching repertoire
- Passion for learning and attending continued education training
- Punctual and Reliable
- Ability to implement and streamline new procedures in a diverse environment
- Ability to recognize areas of improvement and proactively communicate with management
- Effectively manages a team of instructors.
