UCaaS / Systems Engineer

Reports To: Principal Engineer, IT Project Manager

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: Midvale, UT

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is an on-site staff augmentation role to provide an engineering resource with UCaaS, network, and general IT engineering experience.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

• Configure, deploy, and manage RingCentral VoIP platform.

• Troubleshoot networking issues across all client facilities.

• Expand existing relationships through proactive engineering consulting and problem-solving.

• Clearly and succinctly consult on all technical levels with decision makers.

• Deliver Best in Class customer service to uphold raving fan culture.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems both onsite and remote.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVES

• Provide technology consultation, leadership, and guidance to client.

• Manage, review, and oversee other IT initiatives and special projects.

• Install, configure, and maintain network elements, computer systems and other related equipment.

• Document daily work through ConnectWise ticketing system.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

• Self-starter and be able to work independently.

• Must have excellent engineering aptitude.

• Customer oriented, solid business acumen and excellent communication skills.

• Proven track record of performance against goals year over year.

• Knowledge of IT best practices and ability to use best judgement to service clients’ needs.

• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, with all levels of internal and external professionals, especially professionals with non-technical understanding.

• Adaptability in various business cultures and environments.

• Strong relationship building skills with customers and business partners.

EDUCATION/TECHNICAL SKILLS

Qualifications Include but are not limited to:

• Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANS, firewalls

• FortiGate, Unifi, Ring Central

• Familiarity with UCaaS

• VoIP, QoS, SIP, troubleshooting voice quality issues

• Windows Server and Desktop

• Cloud Solutions (Azure, SharePoint, Intune, M365)

• Active Directory

• Windows Client Operating Systems (Windows 7, 10)

• Certifications: MCSA, MCP, A , Network , CCNA, CWNA, Security VCP (recent certification or recertification)

• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, speaking, walking, driving, and/or sitting
