POSITION TITLE: Assistant Manager
REPORTS TO: Store Manager
SUPERVISES: All lower-level Associates
PURPOSE:
To assist store manager in performing store operations including managing inventory, employees, and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Receive 90% or higher on training tests:
- Apparel, Footwear, Accessory Tests
- Sales Training
- Selling is Service
- Sales/Cross-Selling- maintain consistently high numbers:
- 2.5:1 Shoes to Orthotics
- 1:1 Socks to Shoes
- 15:1 Watches to Shoes
- 1:1 Nutrition to Shoes
- 2:1 Bras to Shoes
- 2:1 Tops to Bottoms
- Club Sales are 3% of your sales
- 90% Gaits to shoes sold
- 90% Scans to shoes sold
- 90% Email capture
- UPT's are 3 per transaction
- $125 average sales per hour
- Performance Appraisals are Above Average and score minimum of 400
- Train in all departments
- Pass any additional quizzes in the 90th percentile
- INVENTORY:
- Keep track of 'hot' inventory items and report to store manager
- Responsible for the cleanup and organization of inventory in backroom
- Sign off on receiving items and ensure use of receipt forms
- Maintain stocked inventory on the floor
- Ensure all merchandise is properly displayed and categorized.
- Responsible for general cleanliness of all department
- EMPLOYEES:
- Supervise store personnel
- Report all disciplinary issues and procedure failures of employees to store manager
- Assist store manager in evaluating employees for performance appraisals
- Assist store manager in employee scheduling, as well as operations (Per Payroll Budget)
- Distribute applications for potential employees
- Train all department associates in proper procedures for measuring, fitting, scanning, and gait analysis (footwear), bra-sizing (apparel), as well as general customer service
- Make sure all employees are cross trained in all departments
- Ensure proper floor coverage using DCO.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Ensure all footwear customers are measured, scanned, fit, and gait analyzed according to Fit2Run procedures
- Assist customers with prescription pads- fill prescription according to the podiatrist's recommendation
- Ensure all customers looking for apparel are helped with sizing, style, etc
- Assist customers to the fullest of ability
- Ensure cross-selling is implemented throughout all departments
- Promote corresponding accessories with purchases.
- GENERAL:
- Assist Store Manager

- Follow all Fit2Run policies and procedures
- Keep back office clean and organized
- Answer customer complaints
