About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us — and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.

As a Program Manager, you will manage the execution of alpha and beta testing for Fitbit’s core products and services.

In this role, you will plan requirements with internal customers and manage projects through their entire lifecycle. You will work cross-functionally with engineering program managers, product owners, research teams, and customer service program managers to define product requirements and key performance indicators, identify and manage dependencies, develop test plans, execute tests, and analyze test results. You will manage project schedules, identify risks, and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders. You will be a central role in product development and validation to support product launch.

Fitbit’s wide range of innovative products, including smartwatches, trackers, and a smart scale, help people lead healthier, more active lives by empowering them with data, inspiration, and guidance to reach their health and fitness goals. Coupled with our leading software and Fitbit Premium, our immersive platform experience delivers personalized experiences, insights, and guidance to support our users’ health and wellness. Fitbit’s mission has always been to help make everyone in the world healthier and now, as part of Google we’ll be able to make health even more accessible to everyone.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product management, hardware/firmware engineering, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to develop testing plans and plan and execute projects designed to validate features, concepts, or products as specified within the project plan of record.
  • Manage program strategy and end-to-end delivery by designing holistic tests based on product requirements, maintaining schedules, and communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Identify risks to testing execution and formulate mitigation plans in accordance with company business goals and product acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze test results including survey data and feedback on bugs and work with stakeholders to identify root causes and next steps.
  • Provide direct support to Fitbit test participants through thoughtful and precise communication and thorough troubleshooting practices.
