Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of post-graduate experience in LC/Ms or GC/MS.
  • Experience working in a through-put analytical laboratory.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Analytical Chemistry
  • Experience with analytical software suites (e.g., Agilent’s Masshunter, Thermoscientific’s XCalibur, Compound Discoverer, etc.).
  • Experience in High Resolution-Accurate Mass GC/MS or LC/MS techniques for small molecules analysis.

About the job

As a Scientist, you will apply your understanding, knowledge, and experiences in chromatography and high-resolution accurate mass spectrometry to analyze known and unknown small molecules qualitatively and quantitatively along with advanced data interpretation skills.


In addition to solving complex unknown chemical analysis challenges and developing analytical methods, you will also partner and collaborate with a cross-functional team of Chemists, Scientists, Toxicologists, and Material/Design Engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare analytical samples with multiple wet chemistry techniques.
  • Analyze unknown small molecules in a high-throughput environment using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC/MS), and LC/MS-MS systems.
  • Analyze and interpret data qualitatively and quantitatively, drawing conclusions from test results and recommending additional tests to further confirm test results.
  • Develop analytical methods and maintain equipment to ensure data integrity and quality of lab work.
  • Communicate on sample testing status and troubleshoot all work-related issues to deliver results, meeting deadlines, and milestones.
