Description
·Develop and/or improve current methodologies and work practices as they relate to production, process, maintenance and/or quality aiming continuous improvement of the department enhancing end to end.
· Focus on safe, efficient, reliable and operation of equipment to ensure the production of quality products.
· Evaluate machines/processes to determine if new or modified strategy is needed to meet manufacturing forecasts and to improve utilization, effectiveness, and reject rates through analysis and reduction or elimination of root cause issues.
· Helping to develop annual budgets, working within those budgets to keep equipment and processes running at peak performance, maintaining a cost-effective, identifying implementing and tracking profit improvements.
· Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes Leading efficiency improvement projects
· Foster a continuous improvement environment by evaluating and recommending on-going quality and efficiency improvements as it relates to process/engineering/formulation changes, machinery, documentation, machine utilization, and safety best practices.
· Working with the global organization to develop and implement positive improvements within the plant.
· Responsible for key measures/accountability: OSHA safety statistics, rejects/holds, direct cost per unit, yields, direct and material cost variances, and audit results.
· Communicate to all levels of the organization so that all employees understand company and departmental objectives and have clear expectations of performance.
· Ensure all employees are properly trained and adhere to company policies, procedures, regulatory and compliance requirements.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering AND 5 years’ experience in Process / Maintenance / Project / Production or related.
Applicants must have 5 years’ experience with:
· Technical Reifenhäuser Reicofil plastic extrusion machines maintenance and process failure analysis.
· Analysis project constraints and develop solutions in Trützschler machines based on Ishikawa diagram.
· Trützschler card thermo-bonding nonwovens and hygiene lines
· Processes and maintenance on large Acelli winders and slitting machines.
· Statistical structuring plans in plastic extrusion based on Lean Manufacturing techniques.
· Leadership of startup projects for plastic extruders and Blumenbecker air heaters.
Applicants must have 3 years’ experience with:
· Lean manufacturing process expertise in nonwovens assets.
· Developing FMEA and PDCA fundamentals to extrusion process.
· Budgetary development and management of CAPEX and OPEX for nonwovens industry.
