Dishwasher Team Member Mission
The dish and general utility position are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for commercial kitchen cooking equipment and utensils using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.
To be successful as a Dishwasher, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Sort and rinse dirty pans, bins, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
- Sort, stack, and put away clean pans, bins, and utensils
- Change dishwater in dish machine every 4 hours
- Scrub pots, pans, and trays as needed
- Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
- Set up or break down dishwashing area
- Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
- Sweep/mop floors
- Assemble/disassemble dish machine
- Conduct general cleaning as directed
- Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
- Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures
- Maintaining sanitary status of clean cookware during handling
- Following Site Cleanliness standards and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Other duties as directed
Requirements
- Be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time if needed
- Ability to bend, stop, kneel, and twist
- Ability to sit, stand and do repetitive work for long periods of time
- Ability to interpret, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions

- Must maintain personal hygiene in accordance with Fitlife standards
- Physical Requirements: Stand, walk, lifting 25-50 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, stooping, kneeling for extended periods of time.
