Fitness Connection is seeking an Area Manager to oversee our portfolio of clubs in the San Antonio and Austin markets. The Role
As Area Manager, you'll be the driving force behind 4-6 clubs, providing strategic direction and mentorship to Club Managers while ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the business. This isn't just about managing individual locations – it's about creating a cohesive, high-performing region that consistently delivers outstanding results.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute strategic plans that drive performance across all clubs in your portfolio
- Build and mentor high-performing club leadership teams focused on delivering consistent results
- Create and maintain a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Business Performance
- Drive revenue growth and operational efficiency across multiple locations
- Analyze business trends and implement data-driven solutions to improve area performance
- Ensure consistent execution of company initiatives and standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize club operations
People Development
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent for Club Manager positions
- Implement effective training and development programs
- Identify and nurture high-potential talent for advancement
- Build strong teams that maintain focus on changing lives through fitness
Operational Excellence
- Ensure exceptional member experience across all locations
- Drive consistent execution of company standards and processes
- Maintain high levels of club appearance and maintenance
- Implement and monitor risk management practices

Requirements
- Minimum of 12 months multi-club management experience with proven success record
- For internal candidates: Minimum six months (18 months preferred) as Club Manager with strong performance track record
- High School Diploma or GED required, College Degree preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between locations (up to 85% of work week in portfolio clubs)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to adapt to new systems
- Strong communication skills (Spanish language skills a plus)
