Federal Law Enforcement Training Center - Student Support Services - Firearms Lead/Supervisor Artesia New Mexico
Position Title: Range Lead/ Supervisor

Position Contingent on Award
Requirements:
Responsible for the management and oversight of the weapons and ammunition inventory.
Ensure the efficiency and accuracy of weapon cleaning and inspection cycle.
Monitor weapon repairs and test fires completed by Range Masters.
Assist the Government with management of target inventory.
Coordinate Range Operations with adjacent agency personnel.
Responsible for the management of all department personnel.
Qualifications:
- Prior documented management or supervisory experience
- At least two years of total experience in weapons maintenance and gun repair for semiautomatic handguns, rifles, shotguns, and specialized weapons systems.
- Graduate from a recognized agency, such as a Gunsmith/Armorer or Range master school for law enforcement, the National Rifle Association, a military service school, a federal service school, etc.
- Ability to complete government-provided training and manage hazardous waste per the FLETC-OAO Hazardous Waste Management Plan, including responsibilities for Hazardous Waste Satellite Accumulation Area and Universal Hazardous Waste management.
- Obtain Tier II access for SASS scheduling and TAMS support.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.)
- Experience in range operations, prior Military or Police preferred.
- Possess the leadership and tenacity required to manage a team in a dynamic and difficult work environment.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English and shall be capable and experienced in the type of work they are assigned under this contract and be physically able to perform assigned work.
