A Patient Service Representative:
The Patient Registration Team at Fitzgibbon Hospital is a very important area within the Revenue Cycle of the organization. Patient Service Representatives are the first faces that all patients and visitors see when they enter the organization and are typically the last faces that are seen before they leave. The Patient Service Representative initiates the electronic encounters for all patients as well. Accuracy is highly important as all Patient Service Representatives have a direct impact on reimbursement. Federal, State, and Private insurances are constantly changing requirements so the team is always learning and adapting to ensure we are positively influencing reimbursement.

A Patient Service Representative:
- Greets and registers patients presenting to the hospital, Emergency Department, and clinics
- Announces codes over the Emergency Alert System for the organization
- Collects copays and balances on current and previous encounters
- Answers all switchboard calls for the organization
- Full-Time (80 hours every two weeks)
- Wednesday, 05:15pm-5:45am, Thursday, 4:00pm-8:15pm, Saturday, 05:15am-5:45pm, Sunday, 5:15am-5:45pm
- High School Diploma
- Preferred 1 year customer service experience
- Preferred insurance experience
- Excellent customer service
- Dependable: reliable transportation and positive contact number
- Good work history
- Adaptable/flexible: enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
