Dispatcher

Fitzsimmons Home Medical Equipment is currently seeking a full-time Dispatcher to join our Northwest Indiana team! • Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm with potential for night service rotations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare scheduling and dispatching drivers, vehicles, and equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, patient intake or immediate needs.
• Relaying information such as work orders or other messages to and from delivery technicians, managers, and patients.
• Using telephone, Teams, or text messages to contact employees.
• Speaking with supervisors or customers to resolve problems, requests for services or equipment.
• Schedule any new orders daily deliveries/pick-ups according to geographic area and availability of drivers.
• Assist, when necessary, with gathering of equipment and supplies from the warehouse as prescribed on patient delivery tickets.
• Ensure drivers assemble and depart location within required time frame.
• Compile employee productivity data, such as number of stops made, and miles driven and monitor via TransportAce.
• Overseeing communications within company assigned territories.
• Keeping and organizing work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records and other information.
• Consult, coordinate and assist with employee incident/accident investigations, document, and provide detailed report to location manager and human resources department in a timely manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• 2 years of similar experience in dispatching and logistics.
• Medical equipment experience preferred, not required.
• Graduate of an accredited high school or equivalent.
• Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver 75 lbs.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of background check and physical and drug screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
