Essential Duties
May perform any or all of the following based upon specific department or program assignment:
- Assists with outreaching to referred Member to introduce, engage, and coordinate the Member's enrollment in services. Effectively overcome objections and convey program benefits to referred Member to encourage enrollment.
- Answer calls from prospective Member seeking program services. Screens in-person inquiries, emails, and telephone calls; furnishes requested information, refers inquiries, calls, and emails to others better qualified to assist, and personally takes care of inquiries and calls which do not require the attention of management.
- Enters all referral information and any additional information as it relates to the referral into the required agency systems/databases and external health plan provider portals, as required in a timely manner and in accordance with the requirements set by the agency, Managed Care Plan, and referring entities.
- Works directly with program management staff to fulfill an array of administrative tasks that may include data entry and tracking, Member follow up, and operations within the agency systems and databases.
- Processing, editing, and creating/developing an array of various documents. Frequent use of an array of Microsoft Office software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Adobe Reader, One Note, Outlook, Publisher, Teams
- May prepare and/or assist in the preparation of reports, spreadsheets, documents, material, forms, etc.; may search records and files for data in which a required and/or sampling of information, data, is needed in selecting or abstracting material, documents, client information, etc.
- Prepares and photocopies meeting materials, agendas, handouts, training materials, presentations, etc.; prepares and distributes internal and external notices, letters, and memoranda as applicable; develops and maintains office files.
- May assist in the collection, analyzation, and or interpretation of data as needed.
- Enters data into the computer ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Performs other clerical, general administrative/technical assistance duties as needed by program management.
QualificationsÂ
- To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have:
- Telephone customer service, 3 years preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to express technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish/English preferred
- Ability to quickly build rapport with prospective members over the phone.
- Positive attitude and empathy for Member needs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to efficiently make a high volume of outbound calls on a daily basis
- Attention to detail and ability to follow proper processes and procedures with care.
- Ability to make thoughtful decisions and exercise sound judgement; be self-directed, resourceful, and creative in problem solving.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of contemporary office methods.
- Data entry and computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work as part of a team in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to shifting priorities
- Knowledge of community resources that are designed to serve the underserved.
Compensation Range: $18.03/hr - $25.24hr
