Five Below will continue to be in a hyper-growth mode for the foreseeable future . The Procurement Buyer supporting the Supplies program will be focused on ensuring that consumable supplies and certain equipment are at existing stores in reasonable quantities so stores are able to maintain business continuity and Wow our customers . The Buyer will achieve this through active participation in and management of all supplies programs and external and internal partner relationships which support the programs. The role will also process invoices and ensure all payables stat ements are kept current . Additionally the Buyer will mine data to identify cost savings opportunities, and develop reporting and presentations to share these findings to Procurement and Operations leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducting thorough research, making informed selections, and procuring high-quality products and materials form vendors are key aspects of our procurement process.
• Ensure stores have appropriate quantities of consumable supplies and store-associated equipment in order to meet all reasonable business requirements to WOW our customers.
• Maintain positive relationships with counterparts at key vendor partners to ensure business continuity regarding inventory levels and product flow.
• Lead responding to store and Operations leadership’s multiple, daily requests for support.
• Lead execution of certain multi-store capital assets ad hoc or annual rollouts, i.e., annual shopping cart replenishment, fixture seasonal deployment, etc.
• Process individual and bulk invoices from key vendor partners to ensure all accounts are current, and costs are recorded properly.
• Develop process improvements that will reduce costs from consumable supplies programs including and sourcing for alternate products, direct negotiations with suppliers.
• Perpetually self-improve by leveraging Five Below and external training resources which are relatable to core responsibilities.
• Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to measure the performance of key vendor partners, specifically Bunzl Retail Services
• Collate data to track financial and other information to develop reporting to senior management, and inventory demand forecasting and other metrics to illustrate the supplies program’s performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in retail procurement.

Qualifications :

• Up to 2 years of work experience performing buyer duties.
• Demonstrated project management skills across multiple departments with successful results .
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a retail buyer or procurement specialist, preferably in the retail industry.
• Strong negotiation skills and building and maintaining effective supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of retail trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
