Five Below Summer Internship Program is ON! Our limited open positions for Summer 2025 focus on company strategic initiatives in the exciting environment of value-driven, fun-focused retail. We are seeking energetic, responsible go-getters with innovative ideas, ready to actively participate in company initiatives.

Location :

In conjunction with WoWToWN’s current Ways of Working, we intend to offer a hybrid program for our interns, ensuring both a flexible and immersive experience. All applicants should plan to be in the Philadelphia area and access to our Home Office throughout the entirety of the program.

Internship Details :

10 weeks : June 2nd – August 8th

Full time – 40 hours / wk

Paid – $17 / hr

Greater Philadelphia location – on site / office requirements vary by internship position but should be generally considered hybrid. On average, an intern can expect to be in our home office 3 times per week.

Project Details :

Five Below is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Data Analytics intern to join the Visual Merchandising team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced retail environment, working directly with sku-rationalization efforts to enhance store presentations and drive productivity across various worlds. You will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on our merchandising strategy, directly supporting our mission to simplify and maximize store productivity while aligning with our brand’s core values.

Key Responsibilities :

SKU Rationalization : Assist in expanding existing spatial productivity data to include sku-based recommendations that improve store presentation efficiency and sales.

Data Collection & Reporting : Collect and analyze data on current spatial productivity for inline worlds, building reports that will guide improvements and help visualize the current state. Create dashboards to support & display findings.

Support Merchant Strategy : Leverage the most productive SKUs to develop visual presentations that align with and support the overarching merchant strategy, aiming to enhance product placement and drive customer engagement.

Cross-Functional Support : Partner with various teams, including Merchandising and Operations, to ensure that the visual displays support the overall business strategy and operational needs.

Requirements :

Must be actively enrolled as a rising Junior, Senior, Grad Student or recent Grad with a background in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Space Planning, Merchandising or similar.

Minimum 3.0 GPA

Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office products & remote meeting software

Must have availability for the full 10-week program as space is limited

Must be a self-starter, highly passionate & detail oriented

Active ability to problem solve & communicate effectively

Knowledge and passion for our brand is a plus!

Desired Skills : Strong Communication

Advanced Excel Knowledge

Experience with Data Visualization tools, with a preference for Power BI

Interest in flexing both analytical and creative muscles

Retail experience a plus
