Job Description :
This Database Administrator (DBA) 3 contractor position is part of the Administrative Applications Data Services team and is responsible for performing advanced database administration tasks for databases used by applications with complex data models, workflows, and reports. Assists the team in creating and maintaining logical and physical data models. The DBA works on activities including but not limited to database tuning, indexing, customization, data migrations / conversions, installations, troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, user management, security of data at rest and in motion, disaster recovery, clustering for high availability and load balancing, data backup, purging and archiving, implementation of database policies, data replication and backup to secondary sites like disaster recovery environments, procedures for the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the sensitive and business-critical databases. This position requires hands-on experience as an administrator of relational databases like SQL Server or Oracle as well as experience in the management and administration of NoSQL databases like MongoDB in a cloud environment strongly preferred. This position is expected to address high demand and may be required to be on-call rotation, as needed, to complete all projects in a timely manner.
Required Skills :
- 8 Years Required Database experience
- 8 Years Required Experience with Transact-SQL or PL / SQL - (or similar).
- 8 Years Required Experience with Relational Database Administration - (SQL Server or Oracle, for example).
- 8 Years Required Experience with database administration of SQL Server in Azure cloud environment or 8 years of experience with database administration of on-premise SQL Server environments.
- 8 Years Required Experience with MongoDB administration with large volume databases, high availability, and disaster recovery infrastructure.
- 8 Years Required Experience designing and supporting Enterprise Application Databases.
- 8 Years Required Experience with No-SQL databases.
- 8 Years Required Experience with Agile methodologies.
