Job Title - Quality Assurance Tester

Location - Newyork ,NY

Duration - 12 Months

Scope of Work

The work will include but not limited to :

  • Review and analyze the business functional requirements for testability and communicate gaps or ambiguity in requirements to the business analyst of the project.
  • Translate the business functional requirements into high level test scenarios with test estimation, create test plan, prepare detailed test cases, and ensure the complete test-to-requirement coverage.
  • Develop test scenarios and cases utilizing Azure DevOps, and ensure that tests cover all the application functionalities and validations for browser compatibility.
  • Work with the developers to identify and prepare test data needed for the test execution.
  • Perform software testing including functionality, regression, cross browser compatibility, ADA compliance, and mobile application testing to ensure that all the functionalities and modules on the system are working as expecting after the upgrades
  • Document software issues on Azure DevOps and assist development with concise and detailed steps for duplication of issues found.
  • Work collaboratively with project team to communicate testing progress and status, attend defect triage meeting to prioritize and track defects to closure, discuss project updates and issues to ensure appropriate follow through to resolution.
  • Provide weekly status to QA Manager to ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and testing requirements.

Mandatory Skills, Experiences and Qualifications :

  • At least 7 years of experience testing web applications built different technologies including JAVA, Angular JAVA, MS CRM Dynamics, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
  • At least 7 years of experience testing web applications with role-based functionality and complex workflow.
  • At least 7 years of experience in performing different types of software testing including web usability, functional, cross browser compatibility, database backend validation, ADA compliance, mobile compatibility, regression testing, and performance testing. Familiarity with different types of testing methods and techniques.
  • At least 5 years of experience in preparing test estimation, creating test plan, and writing detailed test scenarios and test cases.
  • At least 3 years of experience hands on experience with defect tracking software using Azure DevOps to manage test builds, prepare test cases, manage test execution, report defects, and communicate defects with project team.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database structures, including ability to query data using Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.

  • Familiarity with different system development techniques such as Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid Agile.
  • Operate as a self-starter and possess the technical aptitude in troubleshooting both software and environment issues.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance concepts, best practices, and methodology.
  • Possess the ability to multitask and handle multiple time critical issues and projects simultaneously.
