Five Iron Golf is the country's premier indoor golf and entertainment experience, with 26 locations nationwide and more on the way. Our core mission is to seamlessly blend golf and entertainment, making the sport inclusive and accessible for all. We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to oversee both golf operations and social experiences, ensuring a premier guest experience that combines the best of game improvement, simulator play, leagues, and food and beverage service.

The General Manager of Performance and Social Golf will be responsible for leading operations, hiring and training a top-tier team, driving revenue across all business lines, and ensuring an exceptional golf and hospitality experience. This individual must be an energetic leader who is passionate about golf, customer service, and hospitality, with a strong ability to cultivate relationships within the golf and local community. The General Manager of Performance and Social Golf reports to the National Director of Performance and the VP of Social Golf.

Key Responsibilities :

Golf Operations & Performance

Oversee all golf-related operations, including simulator experiences, lessons, leagues, and memberships.
Hire, train, and manage golf staff, including instructors and Assistant Golf Managers.
Ensure top-tier customer experience by setting and maintaining service standards for all golf-related staff.
Drive golf revenue through memberships, game improvement programs, and retail offerings.
Liaise with the Director of Instruction to optimize coach schedules and lesson availability.
Maintain and manage simulator equipment, demo clubs, and bag storage, ensuring quality control and upkeep.
Develop and promote member events, outings, and local partnerships with regional golf associations and courses.

Social & Hospitality Management

Lead food & beverage operations, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Recruit, train, and manage social staff, including bartenders, servers, and event coordinators.

Oversee event execution, simulator rentals, and league play to maximize engagement and guest satisfaction.

Implement cross-selling strategies to drive revenue across food & beverage, simulator rentals, and memberships.

Monitor and control labor and operating costs, ensuring efficient and profitable operations.

Build community relationships to foster repeat business and membership growth.

General Leadership & Financial Management

Oversee P&L for golf and social operations, meeting quarterly revenue and profitability targets.

Develop and execute marketing initiatives to grow the business and enhance customer engagement.

Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations, including alcohol service and safety protocols.

Foster a culture of teamwork, positivity, and continuous improvement.

Communicate effectively with corporate leadership, providing insights and updates on business performance.

Required Qualifications :

Passion for golf and hospitality.

5 years of experience in hospitality, golf management, or sports / entertainment venue leadership.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, and motivate staff.

Knowledge of golf technology, including launch monitors and swing analysis tools.

Proven ability to drive revenue through strategic sales and marketing efforts.

Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and navigate stairs for extended periods.

Certification in alcohol service (or ability to obtain as required).

Pay : $90k-100k, Bonus Eligible

You will also have the opportunity to earn incentive-based compensation through a bonus program, based on the membership retention and performance related revenue.
