What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Front Desk Receptionist position at Five Oaks Speech Therapy Services?
The receptionist is the first person the patient and their caregivers interact with when visiting our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess the skills necessary to project a positive attitude, family-friendly atmosphere and be a consummate professional.
The receptionist will schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments, check-in patients, collect appropriate co-pays, and obtain and process authorizations for approved services. Receptionist would be doing introductory billing and CPT codes, answering phone calls, sending emails to insurance providers and other front desk duties as assigned. Therefore, candidate applying for this position must possess the following essential skills; excellent communication and customer service skills, computer literacy, basic knowledge of CPT codes and the ability to multi-task.
The job duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting with answering phones and other front desk duties
- Maintaining treating clinician schedules
- Scheduling patient appointments.
- Maintaining and requesting authorizations for approved services
- Creating clinician report templates
- Uploading patient reports to appropriate insurances
All candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a high school education or GED.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
