Job Summary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role will involve working closely with the finance team to support daily accounting functions, month-end closing, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close process.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Complete and review monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Assist with payroll processing and expense reimbursements.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Must have advanced MS Excel skills including vlookup, pivot table, advanced formulas
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Multiview preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of standard financial statements
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and issues
- Print and review AP check payments (weekly)
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports
- Complete payroll related reporting and reconciliations
- Complete monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Prepare required journal entry adjustments and voucher payments
- Prepare monthly credit card expense reconciliation and reporting
- Assist with preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Reconcile vendor documentation and prepare IRS Form 1099-Misc annually
- Provide initial review and analysis of financial statements/reports and variance analysis
- Responsible for helping promote, model, and set standards of the highest integrity from a financial management perspective
