We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our Five Points Family Medicine team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This role involves managing medical scheduling, maintaining patient records, and supporting the administrative functions of our dental clinic. A strong understanding of medical terminology and coding, as well as adherence to HIPAA regulations, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage medical scheduling for appointments, ensuring optimal use of time and resources.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including care plans and treatment histories.
- Process patient information using computerized systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, faxing, answering multi-line phones, and managing correspondence.
- Assist in patient referrals, when needed.
- Handle 10 key typing tasks related to patient data entry efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of patient interaction and record management.
- Random drug test compliant.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
