Position Overview
The Patient Access Representative (PAR) must abide by various regulatory compliance rules and must always treat patients with dignity and respect. The Patient Access Representative will work directly with the patients to ensure each patient understands the financial policy, sliding fee scale, and to collect appropriate payment for services.
General Responsibilities
- Completing Registration
- Collecting Required Paperwork
- Verifying Patient Information
- Verifying Insurance Information
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Associates Degree in the healthcare or business field preferred
- Minimum of one year of Customer service experience with data entry required
- Windows-based computer experience required
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
- Possess excellent communication skills, customer service skills, organization skills, time management skills, patience, and have a high level of integrity and trust
