Position Summary
Performs best practice requirements engineering, testing, and all facets of system developments life cycle and software development project management activities. Writes system specifications, test cases, and performs testing, in accordance with Company guidelines, client needs and legislative requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts best practice requirements engineering steps, including elicitation, analysis, solution implementation, negotiation, and documentation.
- Analyze current business workflows, identifies GAP and propose optimal solutions in line with organizational goals.
- Formulates and documents test plans and test cases. Tests programming changes due to bug fixes, enhancements, development, and version upgrades. Collaborates with programmers to drive quality output.
- Conducts and documents testing activities including, but not limited to, functional testing, regression testing, usability testing, and performance testing.
- Analyzes data files to and from trading partners, file formats and problems related to client conversions and implementations.
- Analyzes the impact of compliance and regulation changes to existing programs and data file interfaces.
- Writes detailed design specifications for data conversions, coordinates and monitors data interfaces with trading partners, vendors and clients.
- Owns business as usual (BAU) ticket items from triage to resolution. Evaluates and tests ad-hoc and canned reports, queries, data extracts and procedures for IT systems, including forms and mailings.
- Develops, coordinates, and supports installation plans for new client implementations, to include trading partner coordination and testing.
- Provides technical support, training, and problem resolution to super users in the operations community.
- Documents system and client support processes and procedures, to include process improvement recommendations
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in computer science or information technology or two years of technical training
- Three years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or three years of experience working in an insurance environment with applicable technical expertise.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and applications.
- Basic understanding of business practices with good understanding of project management methodology needed.
- An understanding of database systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to analyze and effectively resolve issues.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to work with diverse group of professionals in close cooperation.
- Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or Business Degree
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience working in an insurance environment or a third-party administrator.
