Position Description
SUMMARY
Supports day to day business operations at RiverScape MetroPark. This position is a key element of maintaining a great visitor experience during various activities at RiverScape MetroPark in both the Summer (April-October) and Winter (November-February) seasons and supports Five Rivers MetroParks’ mission to provide personal connections with nature.
Duties/Responsibilities

- Operate as the cashier for alcohol sales.
- Verify valid customer ID’s before processing alcohol sales.
- Prepare and/or pour alcoholic beverages upon order, including beer, wine, hard seltzers, cocktails, and more.
- Monitor customer limits and intoxication and respond accordingly when a customer has reached the point of intoxication.
- Maintain daily inventory tracking of all products.
- Maintain organized and clean working conditions.
- Provide support for the RiverScape Café food operations as needed.
- Provide quality customer service, which includes answering questions, address customer concerns when they arise.
- Work an assigned schedule, exhibit regular and punctual attendance, and work outside of normal schedule as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consistently provide service to the public by responding to questions, offering assistance, supporting programs/events, and providing information.
- Support coordination of programming, activities, and events with other staff as needed.
- Collaborate internally, within and across departmental boundaries, to provide information and service to others in the organization to contribute to the effective operation of the agency and all staff.
- Attend and deliver professional development and training opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A combination of appropriate education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is:
- Applicant must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have the availability to work between 20-25 hours per week.
- Must have a willingness and ability to work an irregular schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent verbal communication skills required.
- Preferred experience in quantity cooking or institutional food service.
- TIPS Concession Alcohol Certification (required obtained first week of employment).
- CPR and First Aid Certification (required first year of employment)
- Successfully pass a drug screening and background check.

Valid Drivers' License which meets Five Rivers MetroParks' insurance carrier guidelines.
