Retail Team leader will share responsibilities for retail merchandising operations at a branch/division level. Acts as a relief retail merchandiser for vacation, open and training routes. This position supports the execution and compliance of plan o grams, promotions and retail initiatives as set forth by the company.

• Assists the Retail Team Manager and Division leadership in training, coaching and counseling, and directing daily retail route operations assigned to his/her team. This includes but is not limited to customer retention, price execution, promotional compliance, customer satisfaction, product and cash variances, adherence to delivery schedules, interviewing and training new merchandisers, inventory accuracy, ensuring a safe work environment, and the team's fleet maintenance. Keeps management updated on team performance.
• Responsible for filling in on various routes for assigned team and delivering quality service at or above industry standards. Maintains good customer relations to promote increased sales and exercises tact and courtesy in servicing customers. Retains knowledge of entire product line.
  
  

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. One to three years previous route experience preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills required. Must possess problem solving and decision making skills.

Management

Limited experience in managing team members to ensure proper execution of day-to-day responsibilities, enforcing accountability and building team morale

General Requirements

• Lift and carry 50lbs on a repetitive basis, with the ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
• Be at least 21 years old (DOT) with a valid driver's license.
• Consent to a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical physical card.
• Follow workplace safety policies and guidelines.
• May be required to obtain a TWIC Card and Safety Council Program. (Gulf Coast Locations)

Five Star Food Service is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Retail Team Leader at our location in Louisiana, St. Rose. The Retail Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail location, including managing inventory, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading a team of retail staff.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth operation of the retail location, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management
• Train and supervise retail staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and increase customer satisfaction
• Resolve customer complaints and inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of operations
• Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Assist in creating and implementing marketing campaigns to promote products and drive traffic to the store
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• Previous retail or customer service experience required
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniques
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
