Position Overview

As a Loader Operator, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and play a key role in safely operating and maintaining heavy equipment while supporting plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a loader to charge ready-mix plants and transport materials (sand, gravel, etc.).
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance (e.g., tire pressure, oil, hoses, grease, and fuel checks).
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections on the loader and plant equipment.
• Maintain and clean stockpile areas, aggregate charging hoppers, and yard areas.
• Assist in inventory processes and report any maintenance needs.
• Support compliance with safety protocols (OSHA, TCEQ) and ensure lockout/tag-out procedures are followed.
• Perform conveyor belt maintenance and assist with general plant repairs.
• Cross-train across various plant operations as needed.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum six months operating and maintaining a front-end loader.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work in high areas (up to 100 feet).
• Must be able to lift heavy objects, tolerate outdoor conditions, and perform repetitive tasks (e.g., climbing into loader 30 times/day).
• Comfortable working in a noisy, physically demanding environment.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays).
