Five Star Equipment serves Northern Pennsylvania and New York State, offering rentals of John Deere equipment, aerial lifts, generators, air compressors, and light towers. We currently have an immediate opening at our Orchard Park location in Buffalo, NY.
We are looking for a self-motivated, experienced outside rental professional to join our team. The outside rental representative is responsible for driving rentals of our construction equipment. You will build and maintain relationships with contractors, construction companies, and other potential clients. The primary focus is to increase drive rental revenue growth in the specified territory. This role demands a strategic approach to both existing customer relationship management and the acquisition of new accounts.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction industry.
- Conduct daily site visits to understand client needs and recommend appropriate equipment.
- Prepare and present rental proposals and contracts.
- Negotiate rental terms and conditions with clients.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the rental process.
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure timely delivery and pickup of equipment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings.
- Participate in classroom or on-line company or John Deere training as needed.
- Monitors competitors’ activity/products and provides timely communication to rental management.
- Follows the standard for conduct within the department. Provides a positive, proactive attitude and cooperates with all company employees, vendors and customers.
- Follows Company and department policies whether written or verbal.
- Contribute to Five Star’s overall success by performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Two years outside rental or sales experience in construction or a closely related industry.
- Understanding of construction equipment and its applications.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve rental targets.
- Ability to use software applications such as the CDK business system, Integrated Rental (Wynne System), Microsoft Office, Excel, and Internet functions.
- Ability to work flexible hours as well as work in various demanding environmental conditions.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and must be able to pass a background check.
Salary : $45,000
