As a Route Optimizer at Five Star Breaktime Solutions, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our vending and refreshment routes. You will be responsible for optimizing route schedules, monitoring asset performance, maintaining fleet compliance, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review daily operations from the previous day to identify areas for improvement and efficiency. Schedule routes for vending and refreshment services to maximize delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Address and schedule maintenance for card reader issues encountered during scheduling activities.
• Adjust product quantities and par levels to optimize service schedules and minimize waste.
• Monitor waste by asset and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Monitor and resolve price/Dex mismatch issues to ensure accurate product pricing and inventory management.
• Conduct regular asset inventories and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
• Ensure route accountability for cash and product over/short discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with whip around procedures for fleet vehicles to maintain safety and operational standards.
• Monitor Azuga/GPS compliance to track vehicle locations and ensure route adherence.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance activities to keep vehicles in optimal operating condition.
• Conduct weekly truck inventory checks to reconcile product levels and ensure accuracy.
• Approve sandwich menus for vending machines based on customer preferences and inventory availability.
• Schedule monthly CHAT (Continuous Health Assessment and Treatment) meetings to discuss route performance and improvements.
• Facilitate new hire orientation for new team members joining the operations department.
• Adjust changer usage based on usage reports to optimize cash handling processes.
• Monitor cloud compliance for vending machines and address any issues to ensure seamless operation.
• Follow up on Form X inspections with merchandisers and implement necessary actions for compliance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in route optimization, logistics, or operations management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with inventory management software.
• Experience in fleet management and compliance preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
