The Cook is responsible for cooking and preparing food using standard recipes and production guidelines while following food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. The individual in this role should safely handle knives and equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, etc.
Requirements:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to lift 50lbs ; on a repetitive basis and have the ability to reach, bend, stoop on a frequent basis.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Work around others in close quarters.
- Must be able to obtain ServSafe Certification.
- Must be able to consent to a drug screen
- Must be able to consent to a background check
Duty
- Operate cash register and POS system to process sales transactions accurately.
- Greet customers with a friendly attitude and provide excellent service.
- Accept payments in cash, credit/debit cards, and issue receipts or change.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist customers with questions, returns, or exchanges.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Follow store procedures
- Support other team members during busy hours by restocking shelves or bagging items.
