What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Ordering Specialist position at Five Star Food Service - Southern Region?
**THIS POSITION WILL REPORT TO THE RINGGOLD,GA LOCATION FOR DAILY SHIFT**
The Inventory Ordering Specialist will operate as a support role to multiple departments and the branch operations team by ensuring efficiency with the food ordering process. Additional administrative tasks may be needed as requested by management or as role responsibilities grow and change.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deep understanding and experience with data analytics.
- A willingness and capability to gain deep understanding and experience with the data capturing program Vendsys.
- Collaborate with Branch Operations Management, the Food Production Facility, and various Corporate Departments.
- Create and optimize fresh/frozen food orders with the purpose of minimizing waste and outages.
- Analyze a variety of data reports issued by the Business Intelligence software used internally.
- Utilizing reporting data from Vendsys and the Business Intelligence software to make informed decisions on correct quantities/assortments of food orders.
- Assist with optimizing route schedules as well as planograms to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the current process flow.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of MS office (Excel, word, PowerPoint, etc..)
- The ability to learn and fully utilize Vendsys data capturing system.
- Excellent presentation and writing skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to consent to an initial drug screen.
- Must be able to consent to a background check.
Position Information:
- Status: Full-Time
- Pay Rate: based on prior experience
- Workdays: Monday-Friday
