Summary: A Plumbing Service Technician will perform routine plumbing tasks, including installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures for customers. A Plumbing Service Technician is required to facilitate installing and repairing water and gas lines, sanitation units, heating systems, and related appliances and fixtures to the customer’s property. A Plumbing Service Technician will effectively work independently and accurately diagnose and solve plumbing issues for our customers and reinforce our company’s quality standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and water, air, and gas systems.
- Install support before installation of pipes, equipment, and fixtures.
- Perform various house appliances fitting and repairs tasks
- Defining property blueprints to evaluate layout for plumbing installations and other systems
- Performing cutting, welding, and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
- Perform a thorough inspection and testing of plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
- Professional handling of customers plumbing requests
- Collaboration with contractors, construction workers, and electricians to meet plumbing requirements
- Troubleshooting problems and deciding how to properly fix them
- Accessing plumbing through confined spaces such as crawl spaces, basements, and attics
- Accurately log billable hours using a time tracking app.
- Manage job details, review daily tasks, and follow up with customers using Service Titan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Valid driver’s license
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
- Education from college, trade school, or military
- Reliable, detailed oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling several tasks
- A thorough understanding of the plumbing industry and code compliance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints as needed
- Efficient skills and knowledge in using plumbing tools and equipment
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice
- Experience with Service Titan preferred.
COMPETENCIES:
- Demonstrating mechanical expertise: Depending on the scope of the project, you may need to a variety of saws, tubing cutter, pipe and tube benders, plumber's torch and thread sealing tape. You should be knowledgeable of all commonly used plumbing tools and any safety precautions to take while operating them.
- Displaying physical and mental strength and endurance: Some plumbing projects may require long hours in small, dark places. Depending on the season, you may experience extreme hot or cold temperatures. Your strength and endurance will help you stay focused and finish projects despite an uncomfortable setting.
- Communicating with clients and supervisors: Plumbing Service Technicians work with many different personality types and should exhibit patience to help customers through potentially frustrating situations. They may need to clarify tasks with supervisors or discuss issues clearly and professionally with contractors and subcontractors.
- Completing administrative tasks: Plumbing Service Technicians can use their organizational and administrative skills to schedule consultations with clients, provide cost estimates, plan long-term projects, invoice clients, and collect payment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Plumbing Service Technicians may work in various settings, including homes, businesses, and industrial sites. They may work indoors or outdoors, depending on the job. They may be exposed to unpleasant odors, noise, and dirt. They may work in cramped, uncomfortable positions and be exposed to hazardous materials. They may work long hours, including evenings and weekends.
Salary : $25,000
