Montessori School Toddler Teacher

Job Overview
Five Star Montessori School (Infant through Kindergarten) has an immediate opening for aToddler Teacher.

We are looking for a patient, loving, dependable and responsible individual with experience in the Toddler classroom. Position prepares and maintains an environment where young children feel loved and cared for while providing developmentally appropriate curriculum and opportunities for learning. Also required is taking care of the young children's physical needs, which includes but is not limited to diapering, potty training, feeding and comforting children, as well as detailed documentation and organized record keeping.

*High School Diploma/GED Required

Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their development.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
• Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
• Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
• Experience in caregiving or nannying is a plus.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and staff.
• Previous experience in a preschool or early childhood setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
• Montessori: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
