Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee and manage painting projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders including contractors, clients, and team members.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
- Maintain company vehicle.
- Responsible for company gas card and charge cards.
- Manage subcontractors and laborers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure compliance with quality control standards.
- Review and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate implementation of project specifications.
- Prepare construction estimates and budgets, monitoring expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize Bluebeam software for document management and collaboration among project teams.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure alignment on project goals, schedules, and deliverables.
- Maintain effective communication with clients regarding project progress, changes, and any issues that arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong skills in supervising teams and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in construction estimating and quality control processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively.
- Familiarity with contract management practices related to construction projects.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse groups including clients, contractors, and team members.
