Position Summary :
The Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while maximizing efficiency and resource utilization. This role will require close collaboration with production, engineering, supply chain, and sales teams to align production capacity with customer demands and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop, maintain, and oversee the master production schedule, ensuring alignment with customer demand and company objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and production, to ensure material and resource availability.
Monitor and adjust schedules in response to changes in demand, production delays, or supply chain disruptions.
Identify and mitigate scheduling risks that could impact delivery timelines.
Implement scheduling best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve on-time delivery performance.
Maintain accurate records of production capacity, lead times, and inventory levels to optimize scheduling decisions.
Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.
Work closely with leadership to forecast production needs and align schedules with business goals.
Utilize ERP / MRP systems to generate and manage scheduling data.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in Lean and Six Sigma projects.
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical device or high-tech industries.
Proficiency in ERP / MRP systems and scheduling tools; experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is a plus.
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and supply chain processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of ISO and FDA regulations is a plus.
