What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Delivery / Fleet Manager position at Five Star Rentals & Equipment?
We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual with a clean driving record and a valid CDL.
Job Responsibilities:
- Loading, unloading, and delivering various types of equipment to customers using a semi, pickup and trailers.
- Safely operating different types of equipment for loading/unloading and assisting customers as needed.
- Performing basic maintenance tasks, such as greasing, servicing, and routine inspections, to ensure equipment is in optimal condition (training provided).
- Performing simple repairs on equipment both on job sites and in the shop, including but not limited to:
- Replacing starters, batteries, and hydraulic hoses.
- Diagnosing equipment issues to assist in ordering necessary parts.
- Communicating effectively with customers, employers, and co-workers to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, inspections, and any minor maintenance performed.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies during transportation and equipment handling.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL
- Experience operating various types of equipment or willingness to learn.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs and servicing.
- Strong reliability, work ethic, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the job.
