The Licensed Caregiver-LPN is part of the Health & Wellness Team responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents under the supervision of registered nurses and healthcare professionals.
What You'll Do
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Helping residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Supporting residents with medication
- Repositioning residents in bed and escorting them around the community
- Toileting, incontinent care
- Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate and pulse
- Observe and report on residents health, escalating any problems efficiently and effectively
- Detail daily reports to Nurse, or designated charge person, at end of shift
- Provide emotional support and serve as a source of comfort for residents and their loved ones
- Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report to a supervisor
- Perform nursing assessments, including vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, and health status evaluations, to identify and address resident needs promptly
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as directed by the registered nurse or healthcare provider, following applicable state regulations, established protocols and infection control practices
- Responsibilities include customer service, safety, resident care, and communication
What You'll Bring
- POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass State and Company criminal background/drug screens
- Demonstrates effective time management skills
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must have a valid, unrestricted nursing license in the state
- Current CPR certification
- Maintain CEU requirements
- Read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Interpret and implement written or oral policies, procedures, and instructions
- Staff supervision
- Assessment and resident care skills
- Medication management principles and practice
- Written and verbal communication skills
