The Opportunity
The Licensed Caregiver – RN position provides, plans, coordinates or manages Health & Wellness Services and health education to residents requiring complex care.
What You’ll Do
- Helping residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Supporting residents with medication
- Operating and monitoring medical equipment
- Performing and analyzing diagnostic tests
- Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate and pulse
- Contributing to and setting up residents’ care plans
- Provide emotional support, consult, and to serve as a source of comfort for residents and their loved ones
- Partner with, and improve working relationships, with doctors and healthcare providers
- Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report to a supervisor
- Plans, organizes, and evaluates care for residents with complex medical Nursing needs.
- Performs comprehensive Nursing assessments.
- Responsibilities include customer service, safety, resident care, and communication.
What You’ll Bring
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or higher, focused on advancement into medical services, or similar, preferred
- 3-5 years of Public Health experience with completion or readiness to apply for a certification administered by the National Board of Public Health Examiners, preferred
- Must pass State and Company criminal background/drug screens.
- Demonstrates effective time management skills.
- A registered nurse with management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric Nursing.
- Current state license to practice as a nurse.
- Current CPR certification and additional certification in Nursing specialty desired.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision and peripheral vision.
- Read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Interpret and implement written or oral policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Medication supervision (within the scope of the state regulations)
